Much of the money that the AFT & NEA get comes directly from the tax payer. You pay your property taxes, the school gets a chunk for the teacher's salaries and the teacher's unions take their piece of the teacher's salary for union dues. They then use them for their political purposes. So many complain about teacher's salaries, but obvioulsy the teacher's unions prefer to use the money for their own purposes rather than leaving the money with the teachers. The unions don't do anything of value to the taxpayer and don't do anything but siphon off the teacher's salaries for money. To spend those large sums of money on politics/politicians is a shame. So they pay for researchers to make their points, sounds like another Climate-gate! It is clear that unions don't do the job they were meant to do, represent workers. If they did, the money would be in the pockets of workers and not spent on the union's political agenda, trying to get more union workers to get the unions more money. Members need to wake up to this and kick them to the curb. More state/government union workers = higher taxes. The amount of money that unions are throwing this group is shocking.
